According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), mental illnesses are among the most common health conditions in the United States. More than 50% of people in the United States will be diagnosed with a mental illness or disorder at some point in their lifetime.

1 in 25 Americans lives with severe mental illness, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or major depression, which, left unnamed, undiagnosed, and untreated, can kill us.

ABHMS is hosting a 5-part webinar series through the Center for Continuous Learning for such a time as this - Let's Talk About Mental Health.

By starting the conversation and engaging the expertise of licensed therapists and endorsed spiritual caregivers, the CCL anticipates sparking a national dialogue among American Baptists and beyond about mental health and the church.
