More than 30 powerful tornadoes ripped through parts of the central and southern United States, destroying homes and claiming dozens of lives.
These tornadoes left a path of devastation across Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee. Kentucky's governor says more than 70 people could have died after "one of the toughest nights in Kentucky history."
